Almost black and creamy, this dark larger represents the 19th century. Black lager beer was popular in many central European cities, especially in Prague. Dark malt varieties give it a taste of roasted malt, some caramel and vanilla flavor, but surprisingly little sweetness - while the hopping is unobtrusive and only in the aftermath noticeable. (A)

The 7Stern interpretation of the “Märzen” is a rare example of the Viennese lager beer invented in the 1840s by the innovative brewer Anton Dreher. Its color reaches from amber to red and it has a savory taste of walnuts and sponge cake. This medium bodied beer is hoppy and well-balanced. It finishes surprisingly dry. (A)

A golden lager with a sweet-herb-like taste. The aroma of hemp leaves and the spicy bitterness are reminiscent freshly cut conifers and wild flowers. The hemp beer has a full, slightly sweetish body and an aftertaste that gives a long lingering unique impression of hemp. (Expect no other effect from this beer than a pleasant taste and a moderate alcohol content of less than five percent by volume). (A)

  • 7Stern Chilibier

    7Stern Chilibier

    Original gravity: 12,5°
    Alcohol by volume: 4,9% vol.

    Seidl 0,3 l € 4,30
    Krügel 0,5 l € 5,30
    Maß 1 l € 10,60

This beer is not for the faint-hearted: With its golden color this beer looks innocent – but it's spicy, very, very spicy! The nose (it's just a hint of cooked vegetable) does not warn you about the heat the chili peppers add to this full bodied lager beer. The effect of capsaicin – the active substance in chili peppers – cools in summer and warms in winter. While many believe that only real men can drink this unusual beer without their eyes filling with tears – it turns out to be very popular with women too. In any case for those, who have a hot temper. Krügel 0,5 l € 5,30
    Maß 1 l € 10,60

India Pale Ale is an English beer style that originates from the British colonial period. This beer was hopped extra strong to survive the long sea voyage to India. IPAs should not only taste bitter, but have the rounded smell of an aromatic taste of hops. To achieve the characteristic taste of the 7Stern IPA, we only use American hops that give our beer its distinctive taste. (A)

    Krügel 0,5 l € 5,30
    Maß 1 l € 10,60

This straw-colored and intensely cloudy example of the style shows a strong banana aroma with a hint of lemon zest. The drink begins with refreshing vivacity and just a hint of malt sweetness, but the mouthfeel is soft and reinforces an impression of sponge cake - at least one senses retronasal biscuit-like aromas. The bitterness is rather low, the drink finishes quite dry. (A)

7Stern owner Sigmund Flitter loves the smoked beers from Bamberg. Therefor he decided to use large quantities of beech wood-smoked malt in this Franconian-inspired smoked beer. The color ranges from dark red to black, with an impressive smoky nose and a full, smoky body that gives way to a robust bitterness the 7stern smoked beer is the perfect drink for those who love smoked or grilled food or enjoy a good cigar after dinner.
